本特定研究「有機化学資源」は、炭素資源、特に芳香族資源の高度利用を目指して、解決の方針を設定することを目的として発足したものである。小林はこの特定研究の代表者として、かつ総括班班長として、特定研究全体の活動を推進する責任を負っている。初年度である昨年は、6つの研究班構成で出発したが、昭和61年度は、研究者数が多く、研究目的も多岐にわたっていた3班を、3A班(有機炭素資源高度利用のための高選択性有機合成反応の開発)、3B班(有機炭素資源高度利用のための高選択性触媒反応の開発)の2班に分割し、研究の集約化をはかった。昭和61年度は、各班ごとの研究の活性化に重点を置き、次項の全体シンポジウムのほかに、班単位またはいくつかの班の合同によるシンポジウムの開催を行なった。昭和61年度の公開合同シンポジウムは3回(第3,4,5回目)開催した。第3回シンポジウムは大阪クラブにおいて、昭和61年6月18日、19日に開催し、特定研究初年度の研究成果10件の報告を主体とする講演を行った。第4回シンポジウムは東京学士会館において昭和61年10月8日、9日に開催し、化学工業の代表的企業および国立研究機関の第一線研究者による特別講演4件を含め12件の講演を行い、延べ300名の参加者による活発な討論を行った。第5回シンポジウムは、東京ガーデンパレスにおいて昭和62年1月21日,22日に開催し、12件の研究成果発表講演を行い延べ400名が出席した。多数の一般参加者があったことは、本特定研究に対する社会の関心の高さを示すものと考えられる。総括班としてのその他の活動は次のとおりである。1)3回の総括班会議,4回の班長会議の開催,2)ニュース(No.3,4),シンポジウム要旨集(No.3,4,5),ニュースレター(No.1)および昭和61年度研究成果報告書の発行,3)総括班実務の遂行,各種企画の立案。

This study aims to improve the utilization of organic chemical resources, carbon resources and aromatic resources, and to set up policies to achieve this goal. Kobayashi is responsible for promoting the activities of the whole team of specific research representatives, team leaders and team leaders. Four lectures, including 12 lectures, were held and discussions were held with 300 participants. The 5th session was held on January 21 and 22, 2062, and 400 participants attended the seminar. Most of the participants in this study were interested in the study.
