CRISPR-Whisper – Public outreach project

The project aims to transfer knowledge from the working groups of SPP2141 to schools, students and the interested public. In addition to the research content, the basics of CRISPR-Cas are also communicated. To get in touch with our target groups, we have created a combination of live events in different formats (lectures, science cafés, lab courses, discussions) and internet offerings (internet blog, social media, webinars). The intention is to strive for a more personal connection with the public than just impersonal internet sites. Overall, the motivation and target groups remain the same. The formats were adapted and expanded based on experience made in the first period of the SPP2141.
