本研究は、自然体験活動から自然とのつながり（nature connectedness）を深めることは、人々の生き生きとした幸せな生活につながるという学術的な問いに対し、自然とのつながり尺度の開発とその妥当性・信頼性の検討、自然とのつながりと心身の健康との関連性を検討、自然体験活動による自然とのつながりの深化と心身の健康促進について明らかにすることを目的としている。本研究結果は、人と自然との望ましい関係構築についての理解が深まり、健康増進や個人の生活の質の向上に向けた展開に役立てられることが期待できる。より多くの人が自然との望ましい関係を構築し、心身共に健全な生活を送ることは、健全な社会の形成への貢献となることを期待する。1年目として、尺度作成に向けた関連文献の検討と、自然との関わりの深い活動を行っている人々へのインタビュー調査を実施した。国内外の関連論文の検討からは、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大という影響や、国内でのアウトドアブームという背景も受け、多くの新たな関連文献が発表されており、国内外での注目の高さやテーマの重要性が確認できた。候補としている因子についての関連概念・感情等の整理を行い、キーワードに即したインタビューを実施した。インタビューは、20代から60代の積極的にアウトドアに関わる男女7名を対象に、1時間程度の対話形式の半構造化インタビューを実施し、録画した会話の内容を文字おこしし、テイストマイニングのソフトを用いて整理した。整理されたキーワードに基づき、先行研究の内容と照らし合わせ、尺度作成に向けた項目を作成中である。今後、項目整理を行い、尺度作成に向けたマーケティング会社を活用したサンプルサイズの大きなサーベイを実施予定である。
