The work consists of two sections:1. Making of the KWIC Concordance for the series three to series six textbooks of KOKUTEI TOKUHON.For the series three textbooks, the word-unit information on OCR (optical character reader) sheets is added to the original data stored on computer magnetic tapes. After correcting the inconsistency in wordunit definition, KWIC Concordance in their JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) order is printed. For the series four to series six textbooks, manual correction has been completed for the tape-stored original text and the word-unit analysis.2. Analysis of the vocabulary in the first and second series textbooks.For the first series, the following vocabulary tables are prepared:1 Vocabulary table given in frequency order.2 Vocabulary tables for each part of speech given in frequency order.3 Vocabulary table ordered by the semantic principles.4 Table of Chinese characters with usage.The above studies are compiled in the report "The Vocabulary of the First Series of KOKUTEI TOKUHON." As for the vocabulary of the second serirs, semantic classification and analysis have been completed.
