児童・生徒の因果関係に関する理解の困難点を明らかにし、それに対する教育的援助の方法を見出すために次のような調査をおこなった。1.シャクリーたちの研究を参考にして、2×2分割表を読みとって相関関係の有無を判断する際の判断手続きの型を分類し、2つの変数の内容(自然現象、人事現象など)や、表内の度数分布などによって、どのような判断がおこなわれるかをみた。2.相関関係において、AならばBという関係(例えば、親が背が高ければその子も背が高いという関係)と、BならばAという関係(子どもの背が高ければ、その親も背が高いという関係)とは同程度であるが、それが、A、B相互の関係(時間関係、因果関係など)によって、A→B、B→Aの関係のうちのどちらを過大評価するかをみた。3.物理現象の説明、心理現象の説明、論理的関係に関する説明を求める際に、「何がそのことをひきおこしたのか」、「どうすればそうなるのか」「どうしてか」など。目的の違う説明を求めて、説明内容の種類や被験者の年齢によって、説明の難易度や、説明の仕方にどのような違いがでるかを調べた。4.物理現象を説明する文章を、(1)即物的、客観的記述、(2)擬人的記述、(3)手続的、操作的記述にした場合の、文章理解の難易度や、文章の読みやすさの違いを調べるための調査。当初2か年の計画で研究にとりかかったので、本年は、調査問題の開発と被験者の年齢や、課題条件などによる反応の違いについて大体の傾向を明らかにするに止どまったが、研究を継続して、まとまった資料を得たいと考えている。

Related relationships: AならばBという后が高いという Relationship)と、BならばAという Relationship(子どものBackが高ければ、その KissもBack The relationship between A and B (time relationship, cause and effect) Relationship など)によって、A→B、B→Aの Relationship のうちのどちらをtoo big comment価するかをみた. 3. Explanation of physical phenomena, explanation of psychological phenomena, and theoretical relationships. "がそのことをひきおこしたのか", "どうすればそうなるのか" "どうしてか"など.
