本年度の補助金は, 昭和59年度から61年度まで継続された特定研究「多元知識情報」の成果報告書の作成に充当されるものである. 編集会議の結果, 編集要領を次のようにすることが取り決められた.(1)論文ではなく報告書とし, 内容は3年間の研究のとりまとめとする.(2)報告書の名前を「多元知識情報の知的処理と統合化に関する研究」とする.(3)書物の体裁は, A5判, 約600ページとする.(4)ページ割当ては1名平均10ページ(約1万字)とし, これには図, 表類が含まれるものとする.(5)全編を研究組織A, B, C, Dの各班に対応して4章に分け, 各章の標題には特定研究の班課題を用いるが, 各分担者ごとの標題は各自にまかせる.(6)各分担者の報告の標準構成は次のとおりとする.1.序(動機, 背景など) 2.経過と成果 3.今後の課題 4.参考論文(自分のもの)(7)内容構成の方針理論の展開やデータの説明等には重点を置かず, 参考論文を読むのに必要な基礎知識が得られるような書き方に努める.実際に集まった原稿の編集, 出版の業務はオーム社にゆだねた. 種々協議・作業の結果, 刊行される報告書の体裁はB5判, ページ数は420となった.
