昭和63年度重点領域研究「コミュニケーション障害児の診断と教育に関する研究」の採択に伴い, 同研究の実施のための準備研究を主として行った.1.使用用語の定義付けの検討:コミュニケーションおよびコミュニケーション障害について, 辞典類13種(国内9種, 国外4種),事典類8種からその項目を抽出し,また外国文献についてはDIALOGを通して,医学・心理学・教育学・社会学等の領域で,1966〜1987年間の検索を行った. その分析の結果,言語にかかわってはノンバーバルの領域が広く含まれ,またコミュニケーションにかかわっては相互交渉の分析が重要な要素であった.2.早期発見と鑑別診断の研究:実践教育研究対象児に対する医学的診断の項目について検討を進め,問診内容,大脳生理学的方法を定めた. また行動観察的立場から,コミュニケーション発達チェックリストの改訂を行った.3.指導法の研究:各障害児に対する從来の研究の検討を行い,コミュニケーション障害全般について,相互の間の共感性の成立過程のあり方等が共通的に検討される必要があることが認められた. また学校システムのあり方,言語発達の記号論的分析も検討された.4.発達予測の研究:予測のための検査として,簡易発達検査,親子言語関係診断テスト,知覚ー運動スキル検査等の再検討を行った.5.教育工学的方法の研究:アメリカで使用されている言語障害児指導用CAI教材の調査を行い,そのモデル的なものの分析を行った. また精神薄弱児の数量概念構成のためのプログラムの試作を行った.6.社会適応の研究:社会適応に関係する要因について分析を行った.7.鑑別診断と教育に関する総合的研究:各領域における研究内容の相互関係について検討し,診断領域,工学領域,社会適応領域の実践研究領域へのかかわり方を明かにした.
