To investigate Proto-Vietnamese genealogically in comparison with the languages of the Vietnamese ethnic minorities, mainly Muong language, and to explicate Vietnamese phonology by way of studying Sino-Vietnamese, linguistical fieldworks of Muong language and the discussions with Vietnamese scholars were carried out together with collecting and analyzing linguistic materials.

为了通过与越南少数民族语言（主要是芒语）的比较，对越南语进行谱系学考察，并通过汉越语研究来阐释越南语的语音，我们在收集和分析语言材料的同时，进行了芒语的语言学田野调查和与越南学者的讨论。
