项目摘要

本研究は、人間の知的機能を生み出す基本的な心的構造を明らかにするために、幾つかの課題事態で観察される処理エラ-をもとに実験的検討を加えることを目的とする。また、生じたエラ-を説明するために、その背後にある心的過程に対して、メンタル・モデルなどのモデルの導入をはかり、理論的検討を試みる。このモデルは、基本的には一般的な知識情報処理を支える問題解決過程や推論過程、ないしは思考過程などの機能モデルと論理的には同型である。また、その表現形式は、記号論理学(命題論理学、述語論理学)をはじめ、多くの数理モデルなどの論理形式に求めることができよう、本研究の目的を遂行するために、個々の課題事態として以下のような場面を設定し、そのもとでの反応を計測し、それぞれに論理的検討を加えた。1.文章理解の方略。文理解は入力文の構造に大きく左右される一方、心的過程における記憶知識情報を手掛かりとした積極的な意味情報処理が欠かせない。日本語文では、文を構成する語の語順に加え、助詞による意味形成作用が顕著である。その助詞を省いてしまい、単語を空間的にある順序で提示したとき、それらの語群からいかなる文章意味理解がはかられるであろうか。そこでの反応をもとに、各自の内的な意味情報処理の過程を究明する。ことに聴覚障害者との比較検討によって意味処理のさいの心的構造の一端が明らかにされた。2.文章理解と推論過程。文章の結合関係をもとに導出、生成される意味情報抽出過程について、推論という思考作用をもとに考察する。とくに空間関係を記述した文章群から構成される記憶意味情報の内容分析をメンタル・モデルをもとに行なった。3.メロディ-認知へのリズム効果。4.認知空間における座標特性-鏡像の理解をめぐって-、など。いずれも意味情報処理の側面を個別の現象のもとで明らかにするために試みられた。
