项目摘要

1.完全平方有理数にに加えても引いても完全平方数となるような自然数aを合同数という。aが合同数になるための条件は不定方程式x^4-ay^4=Z^2が整数解をもつことであるが、aが素数または素数の積となる場合はこの方程式は、Ax^4+By^4=CZ^2の形の別の方程式に帰着される。本研究では、この後の形の方程式の可解性とその具体的な最小解をコンピューターで探索することを目標とした。2.研究代表者はこれまでに素数pに対して4x^4-y^4=pz^2, x^4-4y^4=pz^2, px^4-4y^4=z^2, px^4-y^4=2z^2の解について考察したが、今回は相異なる奇素数p,q対する不定方程式 q^2x^4+y^4=2pz^2の解について考究し次の結果を得た。上の方程式は次の場合に非自明な整数解をもたない。-p〓q〓3mod8, pq<1000に対してはJ.Lagrangeが上の方程式をみたす最小の(x,y,z)を完全に計算している。筆者は奇素数p,qの考えられる凡ゆる組合わせについて上記Lagrangeの表を拡大する表をコンピュータを用いて計算した。3.以上の結果は兵庫教育大の近日中に公刊される研究紀要に掲載される。目下印刷中である。4.上の非存在の結果は与えられた方程式のpをg^2+4h^2の形に表わして方程式を2次のみを介入する別の条件式に書直すことにより得られた。
