We, members in the Literary Documents Department, National Institute of Japanese Literature, for two years (April 1990 - March 1992), have produced some results itemized as the following, through research with aggregating the Okugaki.Okugaki is the postscript, that were written usually in the last page of the scribal copies, or manuscripts of Japanese classic literature.1. We have extracted the Okugaki, from 6, 300 books possessed in Shoryobu-Library, Department of books and graves, belonging on Office of the Imperial Household, and 3, 400 books possessed in Yomeibunko-Library.2. We have arranged the Okugaki in chronological order, that were pulled out from two libraries, and have accumulated them into data-file separately.3. We have analyzed the data of Okugaki into various factors, and tried to draw up sampling -data.4. We have made the book-title-index with Shimpukuji-temple-Library, analyzing their titles, through the full investigation of them as the example of sampling-data.5. We have collected the Okugaki of "choshueiso, " the collection of poems, made by Fujiwarano-Shunzei, as the photo-graph version, by way of example to aggregate Okugaki, and tried to explain the route of its writing history.
