THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN THE RESEARCH OF CHINESE HISTORY

1992- 1994年的研究项目试图从以下几个角度分析地方社区：（1）通过地方志和地方志的文献，分析中国社会的主要历史问题和地区。（2）近代中国村落的结构与特征。我们在所附的研究报告中总结了今年每位研究者的研究工作。报告主要论述了以下几个方面的问题：（1）明清时期的研究，分析了强大的国家政权与具有自身特点的地方社会之间的相互关系。(2)As摘要在中国近代史的研究成果中，调查者从大众传媒对蚕业的报道中，考察了当地社会对蚕业的认知。货币经济体系研究者试图从更广阔的视角将中国的货币流动与世界经济体系联系起来。(3)As在地理学的研究工作中，考察了中国自由市场贸易活动的特点，可以概括地说，我们可以进行全面的实证研究，得出中国近代世界的地方社区特征。

The research project in 1992-94 tried to analyze the local communities from the following view-points :(1) main historical issues and areas in Chinese society through the documents of the local gazetteers and annals.(2)structures and characteristics of villages in modern China.We summarized this year the research works of each investigator in the attached research report. The major topics discussed in the report are as follows(1)The research on the Ming and Ching period analyzed the interrelations between the strong state power and the local community of its own characteristics.(2)As for the research product on the modern Chinese history, the investigators examined the perception of local community from the informations of mass media on the silk-worm industry. The researcher working on the monetary economy system tried to make broader perspectives linking money flow in China with the world economy system.(3)As the research work of geography, the investigator examined the characteristics of trade activities in free makets in China.We may generally summarize that we could make comprehensive and empirical works and draw the characters of local communities in pre-modern China world.
