An Anthropological Research in the Central & Western Visayas, Philippines The Mechanisms of Family based Fisheries and Local Market in Maritime Communities.

本研究旨在从人类学的角度，厘清菲律宾中西部维萨亚斯选定的渔村和港口城镇的日常生活结构和市场网络的社会关系。在宿务北部班塔延岛的港口小镇苏巴，作为该地区典型的中型商业性捕捞活动的“KOB-KOB(环网)”捕鱼，起到了社会综合因素的作用。以渔长为首的捕鱼小组是由苏巴及其周边地区的Clews组织的。这种捕鱼方法提供了大量的就业机会，如临时线索、渔网看守人和家庭干鱼生产者。通过新鲜蔬菜和干鱼营销，买卖网络由先进的信用链条组成。这可以称为“KOB-KOB复合体”。在锡基霍尔岛，特别是在内陆村庄，富人的信仰和天主教融入了日常生活，有助于保护传统的生活方式。在经济和宗教活动中，可以观察到海洋和丘陵地区强烈的交易过程。不仅是真正的亲属关系，礼仪亲属关系(Compadrazgo)对社会网络的形成和维持也起着重要的作用。班乃岛海域和沿海地区的传统渔业活动以泥滩渔业文化综合体、珊瑚礁渔业文化综合体、沙滩渔业文化综合体等海洋文化的多样性为特征。Panay渔业的一个问题是传统渔业和商业渔业的中断，这阻碍了后者向前者过渡或发展。由于资本规模较小，小规模、自给自足和以家庭为基础的捕鱼活动为人们提供了更多加入的机会，因此得以维持。

This study aimed to clarify, from anthropological point of view, the structure of daily life and social relationship of market network in selected fishing villages and port towns in Central and Western Visayas, Philippines.1. In Suba, a port town in Bantayan Island, Northern Cebu, "Kob-Kob (ring net)" fishing, which is a typical middle-scale commercial fishing in the area, works as a social integrative factor. The fishing group headed by fishing master is organized the clews from Suba and the surrounded areas. This fishing method provides a lot of employment opportunities as temporary clew, net caretakers, and family-based dried fish producers. Through fresh cath and dried fish marketing, the buy-and-sell networks are formed with chains of advanced credits. This can be called "Kob-Kob Complex".2. In Siquijor Island, especially in the inland villages, rich folk belied and Catholicism are webed into daily life and contribute to preservation of the traditional way of life. The strong transactional process of the sea and hill area are observed in economical and religious activities. Not only the real kinship but the ritual kinship (compadrazgo) plays an important role to form and maintain the social network.3. The traditional fishing activity in the sea and coastal area of Panay Island is characterized by the variety of marine culture such as mud flat fishing culture complex, coral reef fishing culture complex, and sandy beach fishing culture complex. A problem of fishing in Panay is the discontinuity of the traditional and commercial fishing, which prohibits transition or development of the latter into the former. The small-scale, self-sufficient and family based fishing had been maintained as it provides more chances for people to join because of the small size of capital.
