项目摘要

本研究の課題は、国内の商社活動に対して国際カルテルが与えた影響を大倉商事(大倉組)の事例を中心に明らかにすることである。ドイツAEG社は1900年代以降、拡大しつつある日本の電気機械市場への進出を図った。その際、AEGの輸入代理店として市場拡大に取り組んだのが大倉組であった。しかし、1910年代に入ってから、大倉組はそれ自身では解決できない商社活動への制約を受けた。それは、アメリカGE社とAEGの間で結ばれた国際協定に端を発していた。1903年のGE・AEG協定そのものは日本市場を対象としていなかったが、GEは1909年に芝浦製作所と提携し、日本市場における芝浦の排他的権利を認めた。そして、GはAEGと大倉組に対して、芝浦の排他的権利を尊重するよう要求した。GEの要求を受け入れることは、大倉組がAEG製品の輸入販売業務を続けられないことを意味しており、大倉組はこの要求をそのまま受け入れることは出来なかった。最終的には、GEとAEG・大倉組との間で話し合いが行なわれ、大倉組はAEG製品の輸入業務を続けることが出来た。けれども、大倉組・AEGの日本市場における活動には制約が課せられた。具体的には、タ-ビンに関して1913年に芝浦とAEGの間で協定が締結され、(1)GE・芝浦は日本における専売権をAEGに与え、AEGは製造販売権を芝浦に与える、(2)AEGは日本で販売した製品の特許使用料、コミッションを芝浦に支払う、(3)過去4年間の実績に基づいて両者の販売比率を定めることになった。1910年代に入って、GEは、国際協定および特許協定を利用して、自己のテリトリ-を拡大する戦略を採ったと考えられる。そして、このGEの企業戦略によって、大倉組(大倉商事)の商社活動とAEGの日本における事業展開は制約を受けることになった。

This study focuses on the impact of domestic trading company activities on the international market and the case of Okura Corporation (Okura Group). Since the 1900s, the Japanese electrical machinery market has been in and out of business. AEG's input agent shop is located in the market. In the 1910s, the Okura group was forced to solve the problem of the restrictions on the activities of the trading company. The United States and the United States have agreed to establish an international agreement on the issue. The GE·AEG agreement was signed in 1903 to support the Japanese market, and GE in 1909 to support Shibaura's exclusive interest in the Japanese market. For example, the AEG and the Okura Group are required to respect each other's interests. GE's requirements are met by the Ogura Group and AEG's products are sold in the Ogura Group. Finally, GE, AEG, Okura Group, and other companies will be able to enter into the AEG product business. There have been restrictions on the activities of the Japanese market of Keidoku, Okura Group and AEG. Specific information relates to the conclusion of an agreement between Chicago and AEG in 1913,(1)GE Chicago Japan sales to AEG, AEG production sales to Chicago,(2)AEG Japan sales of licensed products, and (3) sales of basic products over the past four years. In the 1910s, GE, international agreements, and licensing agreements were used, and their own laws and regulations were adopted. GE's corporate strategy, Okura Group's business activities and AEG's business development in Japan are subject to restrictions.
