项目摘要
EXTRAPOLATION MEANS TO PRESUME THE RESULTS ON HUMAN BEINGS FROM THE RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTATION USING LABORATORY ANIMALS.HOWEVER,AN ACCURATE EXTRAPOLATION IS PREVENTED BY THE SPECIES DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HUMAN BEINGS AND ANIMALS.WE INVESTIGATED THE WAY OF EXTRAPOLATION BY THE COMPARISON OF THE PHARMACOKINETICS AND THE GENETIC ANALYSIS BETWEEN HUMAN BEINGS AND LABORATORY ANIMALS.THIS RESEARCH LASTED FOR THREE YEARS,AND WE DEVELOPED NEW FIELD FOR LABORATORY ANIMAL SCIENCE.BUT MORE RESEARCH IS NEEDED FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NEW METHODS OF EXTRAPOLATION.WE HELD A SYMPOSIUM ON THE EXTRAPOLATION AT TOKYO,AND ABOUT 250 RESEARCERS PARTICIPATED IN THIS SYMPOSIUM.I THINK THIS IS FIRST SYMPOSIUMON THE EXTRAPOLATION IN JAPAN.
