本研究の目的は、地域社会調査の一環として撮影された在日韓国・朝鮮人の民族コミュニティのビデオ映像を対象として、その社会学的な分析を行なう際に必要な「動画と地図と従来型の文字情報を等号笛に処理できるシステム」の開発を行なうものである。今年度の研究課題は、対象地域の映像による調査データと、さらに新たに補足された映像データをあわせて、CD-ROM化を行なうと同時に、昨年度試作したコンピュータ制御の自映像情報検索システムの試験を行うことにあった。これらの課題のうち、CD-ROMの作成に関しては、ほぼ初期の目標を達成し、マッキントッシュ上でハイパーカードを使用して、映像をキ-して文字情報、また、地図情報をキ-にして映像情報を検索できるシステムを完成した。しかし、映像と対応する文字情報の入力に関しては、本年度中に発生した兵庫県南部地震の影響で、作業が大幅に遅滞してしまった。また、地震の影響で、研究対象地域にさまざまな影響が生じたため、データの修正の必要も生じている。これらの問題の解決を来年度の課題として、今後も研究を続ける予定である。
