项目摘要

研究課題は「家島町方言アクセント」であるが、今年度の研究では特に坊勢島若年層のアクセントについて調査研究を行なった。当初の計画では、各年代にわたって、アクセントの年代差について調査・研究する予定であったが、準備調査の結果、若年層におけるアクセント変化は予想以上に大きかった。中年層・高年層のアクセントが一般的な京阪式アクセントとほぼ同じものであることは確認できたので、今年度の研究では、家島町若年層(20歳前後)におけるアクセント変化の動向を詳細に記述することに重点を置くこととした。家島町坊勢方言若年層のアクセントについて、研究代表者は平成5年3月に一部報告を行なっているが、今年度の研究では、さらに調査語彙を増やし、1〜6拍体言・2〜5拍用言の約7200語について、アクセントの音声学的記述を行なった。若年層話者数名を対象に調査を行なったが、そのうちの1名の資料『兵庫県家島町坊勢方言若年層のアクセント資料』(上記7200語を収録)を研究成果刊行書として作成した。若年層アクセントの記述を行なった結果、現時点においては、次のような点が指摘される。1.同様の変化は岡山県真鍋島方言でも報告があるが、関連性については今のところ不明である。2.中・高年層との各アクセント型所属語彙の構成には大きな異同は無いが、音調が大きく変わりつつある。3.具体的な音調変化とは「下がり目の後退化」と「特殊拍・母音拍の機能低下=アクセント単位のシラビーム化」が指摘される。今後継続して研究すべき課題としては、「新しい音調の出現年層の究明」、「小中学生の状況」、「新音調の音韻論的解釈」などがあげられる。
