平成14年度は、東京式アクセントと垂井式アクセントが接する地域を含む、JR山陰本線鳥取-和田山間(鳥取県鳥取市、岩美郡福部村・岩美町、兵庫県美方郡浜坂町、同城崎郡香住町・竹野町・城崎町・日高町、同豊岡市、同養父郡養父町、同朝来郡和田山町で調査を実施した。調査の概要は下記の通りである。調査語彙:2拍名詞22語、3拍名詞3語調査地点:23(JR山陰本線鳥取-和田山間の全駅:23地点のうち兵庫県は18地点)調査時期:平成14年9月話者:各地点とも男性(高年層・中年層・低年層)・女性(高年層・中年層・低年層)合計138人調査者:都染直也および甲南大学学生調査の結果は現在分析中であるが、グロットグラム(地理年代分布図)の形式でまとめ、地域差のみならず、年齢層によるアクセントの動態についても明らかにしたい。なお、録音資料は研究代表者(都染)が一人で聴取している。しかしながら、上記調査が語彙・音声項目をも含んでいるため、録音資料の中からアクセント項目のみを抜き出した資料(最終的にはデジタルファイル化する)を作成中である。語彙項目等においては明確に地域差や年層による変化が見られ、アクセント項目との対照にもとづく分析を行なう。平成13年度の調査結果についてはr兵庫県飾磨郡宍粟郡姫路市接境地域言語地図』として刊行したが、平成14年度はその言語地図資料をもとに「兵庫県における垂井式アクセント・低進式アクセントについて」(『甲南大学紀要文学編125』)として報告した。
