Scientific Survey of Angkor Tom Monuments in Cambodia

一、期间：第十六次使命：1995年7月20日至1995年8月20日（32天）第17次使命：1995年12月15日至1996年1月10日（26天）第18次使命：1996年3月1日至1996年4月7日（38天）二、调查地点：班迭克代、吴哥窟、Phum Run Ta Ek、Phum Srah Srang。三、活动：1）班迭克代内部的挖掘调查：本次调查的主要目的是对前连殿南侧的建筑纪念碑红土柱堆进行分析，观察它们的建筑年代关系。2）对吴哥瓮时代陶窑遗址的一次重大调查和1995年8月调查的一项新发现证实，在RunTa EK村有4个陶窑遗址，在Vaken村有1个。在1996年3月的调查中，在润大EK村新发现了7个陶窑遗址。3）地质和岩石调查：使用共振法诊断石材（砂岩和红土）的劣化状况。研究了水和砂岩强度变化的问题。4）建筑材料工程：通过验证建筑物开口的变化和维修，阐明了遗址建造的年份（www.example.com）。通过测量高、低水位差，观测了丰水期和枯水期水位的几毫米上下变化。画了吴哥窟西通道北方部分的实际图纸。从材料工程的角度对防水剂和防霉剂进行了试验。5）社会与地域文化研究：对北斯拉斯朗村的社会经济环境进行了调查。6）环境水质调查：暹粒市水质调查，以及住宅排水和河流使用（洗澡和洗衣）调查。与国家水务局联合对洞里萨湖海岸进行了一次水文调查。

I.Period : 16th Mission : July 20,1995-Aug.20,1995 (32 days)17th Mission : Dec.15,1995-Jan.10,1996 (26 days)18th Mission : March 1,1996-April 7,1996 (38 days)II.Survey Site : Banteay Kdei, Angkor Vat, Phum Run Ta Ek, Phum Srah Srang.III.Activities :1) Excavation Survey inside the Banteay Kdei : The main theme for this survey was to analyze the architectural monument laterite pillar heap on the south side of the Front Collonaded Hall and to observe their architectural age relationship. Excavations were made between both ruins and evidence was taken.2) A major survey of pottery kiln ruins of the Angkor Vat age and a new discovery in the August 1995 survey confirmed 4 pottery kiln ruins in Run Ta EK Village and 1 in Vaken Village. In the March 1996 survey, 7 pottery kiln ruins were newly discovered in Run Ta EK Village.3) Geological and Rock Survey : Resonance method used to diagnose deteriorated conditions of stone materials (sandstone and laterite). Researched issue of water and changes in sandstone strength.4) Architectural Materials Engineering : The year the ruins were constructed was elucdated by verifying the changes and repairs made to openings in the buildings (i.e.windows). By Measuring the difference between the high and low water levels, changes up and down in several millimeters between Rainy Season and Dry Season were observed. Drew actual drawing of the northern part of Angkor Vat West pathway. Water-resistants and mildew resistants were experimented on from a materials engineering aspect.5) Social and Area Culture Study : The socio-economic environment of North Srah Srang Village was surveyed. A project for the co-existence of ruins, villages and the forest was started.6) Environment Water Quality Survey : Water quality survey of Siem-Reap, and survey on house drainage and river use (for bathing and washing clothes). An environmetnal survey of the Tonle Sap lake coast was conducted jointly with the State Water Bureau.
