项目摘要

当該年度においては、15世紀のネ-デルラントの穀物流通に関して、基礎的な仕事として数量的分析の基礎となる穀物価格の価格決定に関する付帯情報を含めたデータベース化の作業を進行中である。なお、その作業と平行し、穀物価格の情報を含んでいるフランデレン(フランドル)の穀物流通の拠点都市であるヘントのホスピタルの穀物購入記録に関する論文を作成した。当論文は、平成5年度中にKobe University Economic Review 39の1論文として刊行される。その概要は以下のとおりである。ホスピタルの穀物購入の記録はこれまで市場における穀物価格として扱われてきたが、ヘントに関する場合、15世紀に関して記録が残るを7ホスピタルの会計帳簿においては、ホスピタルによる購入形態は多様であり、ヘントの「穀物市場」での購入、穀物商人からの「市場」を介さない購入、ホスピタルの所有地を耕作する借地農からの購入、パン焼親方からの購入などの形態がとられている。また、通期的な変化として、穀物調達手段の商取引化と多様化がみられ、地代として徴収した穀物をパンに利用する形態から多様な形態での穀物の購入、パンの購入へと変化している。この論文で示された穀物購入形態の多様性と時間的変化は、これまでの穀物価格分析においては十分考慮されていなかった事象であり、それを明らかにしたことがこの論文の特徴である。また、ヘント以外の地域の穀物価格史料、穀物流通に関する都市当局の行政状況を記録している会計帳簿についてのマイクロフィルムをベルギーより入手し、その検討も現在行っている。
