本研究は、現代の家事労働における消費エネルギー量を推定しようとするものである。本研究を実施するに当たって、その理論的根拠となったのは、申請者らが以前に調査した“脈圧の上昇率が2.0以上の時は、脈圧と心拍数の上昇率は比例関係にあるが、それ以下では心拍数の上昇はあまりみられない"という事実である(「心拍数上昇を伴わない軽作業時の消費エネルギー量の推定方法」医学と生物学・第128巻・第5号・平成6年5月10日発行予定)。また、脈圧の上昇率と呼気分析から求めた体重・1分当たりの消費エネルギー量の関係は、きわめて高い相関関係にあり(r=0.843、p<0.01)、1次式で回帰された(同上)。したがって、現代の家事労働が心拍数上昇を伴わなければ、この関係式を利用することによって、脈圧の測定から消費エネルギー量の推定が可能となる。申請者は、被験者の安静時、ならびに作業時(事前の調査結果に基づいて作成した家事労働のパターンを実施した時)の心拍数と脈圧の動向を調査した。その結果、現代の家事労働には心拍数上昇を伴わない動作が多いため、脈圧の上昇率から消費エネルギー量を推定できることが明らかとなった。そこで、脈圧の上昇率を申請者らが導いた上記の関係式へ代入して消費エネルギー量を推定した。その結果と、従来のRMR法によって算出した結果とを比較してみたところ、家事労働の項目によっては脈圧法の方が低かった。ただし現段階のサンプルは、20代後半〜30代前半の女性が中心であり、他の年齢層・男性にも適応できるのか否かは明らかではない。今後は、性別・年齢階級別により多数のサンプルを収集し、一般化を可能にする必要がある。同時に、今回実施しなかった家事労働のパターンについても検討し、『現代版家事労働消費エネルギー量の基準表』を作成しようと考える。

This study is aimed at estimating the amount of consumption in modern households. The number of beats and pulse pressure trends of the applicant shall be investigated when the applicant is quiet and when the applicant is working (when the applicant is working on the basis of the investigation results). As a result, the number of beats in the modern family rises, and the pulse pressure rises, the consumption rate rises, and the estimation rate rises. The relationship between the rate of increase of pulse pressure and the amount of consumption is estimated. The results of the RMR method are compared with the results of the RMR method. In the second half of the 20th generation to the first half of the 30th generation, the female is in the center, and the male is in the middle.
