We built following five full-text databases with codes for parts of speech.1. Genji Monogatari (The Tale of Genji)2. Murasaki-Shikibu Nikki3. Yamaji no Tsuyu4. Kumogakure Rokujyo5. TamakuraUsing these databases, we analyzed the style of Murasaki-Shikibu (Lady Murasaki) to solve the authorship problem for Genji Monogatari, and find that the style of Genji Monogatari is different between the first group of 44 chapters and the second group of ten chapters (usually referred to "Uji Jujyo") in certain aspects.However we cannot rule out the possibility that the difference was due to gradual evolution of Murasaki-Shikibu's own style in the long course of 54 chapters.
