本研究では、(1)構築主義アプローチにより人々の相互行為に定位して社会問題が構築される過程を分析すること、(2)それを通じて社会問題の相互行為論的研究のための理論枠組みを整理することを目指し、夫婦別姓問題を題材として以下を実施し結果を得た。1.社会問題構築過程の分析のための方法論の検討-構築主義アプローチによる経験的社会問題研究の方法、既存研究事例を既存文献資料により検討し、本調査(以下の2.3.4.)のためのフレイムを設計。2.社会問題をめぐる相互行為に関する質問紙調査-夫婦別姓問題を題材とし、夫婦別姓実践者を対象に、問題の主観的経験と定義、クレイム申し立て状況、周囲の人々との当該問題をめぐるコミュニケーション状況について探った。3.同インタビュー調査-2の対象者に対して質問紙調査結果を踏まえ、周囲の人々(特に反対者)との夫婦別姓をめぐるコミュニケーション(クレイムの応酬)、そこで使用された社会問題ディスコースのレトリック、一般的に流布する夫婦別姓反対論(下の4により抽出)に対する意見と反対レトリックの使用について詳しい聞き取りを行った。4.パブリシティレベルの社会問題ディスコースの分析-夫婦別姓問題をめぐる公的ディスコースを新聞、雑誌、パンフレット類、単行本等を資料として収集し内容分析を試みた(続行中)。得られた知見:2と3より問題をめぐる日常的相互行為のあり方が考察された。その結果と4の対照的把握により、キツセらが提唱する構築主義の方法を日常生活のvernacularな次元に適用するには方法論の部分的検討が必要と考えられる。具体的には、構築主義に内在するアクターモデル、社会問題ディスコース等概念の再検討が今後の課題となる。
