本研究では、各種音場における明瞭度の異聴傾向の分析を高齢者・健聴者について行った。分析は異聴確率推移分布を求めるにとどまった。非常放送文の収集に関しては18の施設について非常放送システムの調査を行った。その結果、百貨店は客のパニックを避けるため、店員が臨機応変に対応することから非常放送文を用意していないこと、また非常放送はほとんどの場合肉声で行われることがわかった。非常放送文を準備していたのは半数の9施設であり、それらの施設の文を用い、キーワードを抽出した場合としない場合について分析を行った。また、収集した文を用いて分析に用いた音場において「聞き取りやすさ」の聴感実験及び文章了解の度合いに関する主観評価実験を行った。その結果、音場の条件が悪いところでは文章の内容に関わらず了解し難く、残響は特定の音節に対して了解し難くしている傾向が結果として得られた。異聴傾向に関しては音節の出現頻度を考慮して明瞭度を評価すると音場によっては今までの評価と異なってくることがわかった。文章の評価は、音節の異聴度と文中におけるその音節の出現率を用いて音節受聴という観点に限定して行えることがわかった。今後、音節異聴の観点のみではなく、音節の異聴により引き起こされる単語の意味あるいは文の意味の誤り方についてオートマトン等の手法を用いて検討をする必要がある。今回の成果は研究期間中には発表できなかったが、今後、日本建築学会等で発表していく予定である。
