The effects of oral administration of activated charcoal (AC) or Japanese Cedar charcoal (JCC) to growing sheep were investigated on ruminal and blood characteristics under concentrate-based feeding scheme. The additive was dosed at the rate of 0.5% of dry matter of feed which was offered at the level of 2.6 to 3.0% of body weight. The first experiment was carried out under three factorial design and the second one was done under Latin square design. In the first experiment, no difference was observed among production characteristics like feed conversion ratio, However, the body weight gain tended to be improved for AC group. There was no difference of ruminal pH among treatments. The values of oxidation-reduction potential, protozoa no. and ammonia nitrogen tended to be decreased for AC and JCC groups. The increased tendency of blood glucose and albumin/globulin ratio for AC and that of total cholesterol and thiobarbituric acid for JCC were observed. The enzyme activity of CPK in AC group tended to be lower than that of reference group. The activities of GOT and gamma-GTP tended to be higher for JCC group than those of the others. The Al-P activity was higher in the descending order of AC,JCC and reference groups, however, there was some differential tendency between male and female lambs. The white blood cell differential ratios were changed for lymphocyte and neutrophil after dosing AC and JCC.In the study, the thiobarbituric acid value and CPK,GOT,gamma-GTP and Al-P activities were the indicators of AC and JCC effect on animal.
本试验研究了在浓缩饲喂条件下,口服活性炭(AC)和杉木炭(JCC)对生长绵羊瘤胃和血液特性的影响。添加量为饲料干物质的0.5%,添加量为体重的2.6 ~ 3.0%。第一次试验采用三因子设计,第二次试验采用拉丁方设计。在第一次试验中,饲料系数等生产特性未见差异,但AC组有提高增重的趋势。不同处理间瘤胃pH值无显著差异。氧化还原电位、原生动物no.;AC和JCC组氨氮有降低的趋势。AC组血糖和白蛋白/球蛋白比值升高,JCC组总胆固醇和硫代巴比妥酸升高。AC组CPK酶活性有低于对照组的趋势。JCC组的GOT和γ - gtp活性明显高于其他组。Al-P活性依次为AC组、JCC组和参照组,但雌雄羔羊之间存在一定的差异趋势。给药后淋巴细胞和中性粒细胞的白细胞差异率发生变化。本研究以硫代巴比妥酸值和CPK、GOT、γ - gtp和Al-P活性作为AC和JCC对动物影响的指标。
