The present was performed to investigate bladder function and nerve growth factor (NGF) in the urethral obstructed rats and ischemic bladder rats. Obstruction produced bladder hyperactivity and an increase in NGF.Ischemia produced transiently bladder hyperactivity and an increase in NGF.The bladder function appears to be modulated with NGF.
