ATMネットワークにおける主要なサービスであるABR(Available Bit Rate)では,入力が急増して輻輳が起きた場合,一時的にVC(Virtual Connetction)上でセル廃棄が起こる。そのため,入力を制御することによって輻輳を緩和あるいは解除するための輻輳制御方式が考えられている.本研究では,バースト入力をもつ情報通信システムにおける輻輳制御方式として標準化が進められているEPRCA(Enhanced Proportional Rate Control Algorithm)方式を採用したシステムの非定常/定常特性を評価するモデルを提案し,その解析を行うことによってこの方式の特性と調べた.具体的には,1.ネットワーク上の1つのVC上にあるATM交換機のバッファに蓄積しているセル数や入力の変化をマルコフ過程としてモデル化.入力はバースト入力モデルの典型であるマルコフ変調入力過程.2.1のモデルの非定常特性を調べ,より数値計算に向いた離散マルコフモデルを構築.3.EPRCA方式のパラメータを変化させてセル廃棄率やスループットを計算.という手順で解析/実験を行い,以下のような主要結果を得た.・EPRCA方式では,バッファに蓄積しているセル数がその値を超えたら輻輳が起きたと見なす上側敷居値と,下回ったら輻輳が解除されたと見なす下側敷居値があるが,セル廃棄率は上側敷居値には強く依存するが,下側敷居値にはほとんど影響されない.・セル廃棄率は許容入力率の上げ方/下げ方に大きく影響されるが,今回行った実験の範囲では現在議論されている一定幅で上げ,幾何級数的に下げる方法はかなり有力である.・スループットは,セル廃棄率に比べて敷居値や許容入力率の上げ方/下げ方から受ける影響がかなり小さい.したがって,システムの設計にあたっては要求されるセル廃棄率を満たすことを優先してパラメータを設定してよいといえる.

ATM service is mainly used for ABR(Available Bit Rate), when the input force increases rapidly, convergence starts, and VC(Virtual Connection) starts. In this paper, we propose an EPRCA(Enhanced Proportional Rate Control Algorithm) method to evaluate the unsteady/steady characteristics of information communication systems, and to adjust the characteristics of information communication systems.
