Development of MultiMedia Modules on Information Literacy for Special Education Teachers in the Information Oriented Society

本研究针对特殊教育教师开发教育计算多媒体教学模组，以加强特殊教育教师在职训练。该模块包含74个特殊教育教师为特殊需要儿童开发的教育软件程序的说明和视频剪辑，以及一篇特殊教育教育软件的综述文章。作者选择超文本标记语言（HTML）作为编程语言，因为它非常便于用户在各种类型的计算机上执行模块以及通过Internet进行交付。在评价研究1中，被试包括27名特殊学校教师。作者采用语义差分方法对计算机图像进行分类。对计算机使用了四组形容词，(1)“难-易”，(2)“像机器-像人”，(3)“硬-软”和(4)“不喜欢-像”，每组用7个等级量表进行评估。前后检验结果表明，该模块对他们有效（“难-易”：t检验，p<0.01；“像机-像人”：t检验，0.05<p<0.1）。指出多媒体教学模块对特殊教育教师是有效的，但在可用性方面还有待改进。作者还开发了基于通用输入设备仿真接口（GIDEI: General Input Device emulation Interface）的PC红外遥控模块，使学习者能够方便地使用多媒体模块。

In this sutudy, the authors developed an multimedia teaching module on educational computing for special education teachers to enhance in-service training program in special education field. The module contains both descriptions and video clips of 74 educational software programs, well developed by special education teachers, for the learning of children with special needs as well as a review article of educational software in special education. The authors choose HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) as the programming language, because it will be very easy for users to execute the modules using various types of computers as well as to deliver through the Internet. In the evaluation study 1, the subjects consisted of 27 special school teachers. The authors used semantic defferential method on images of computers to the subjects. Four adjective pairs to computers were used, (1) "difficult-easy", (2) "machine like-human like", (3) "hard-soft"and (4) "dislike-like", and each pairs evaluated by a seven rating scale. The results of pre-post tests suggested that the module was effective for them ("difficult-easy" : t-test, p<0.01 ; "machine like-human like" : t-test, 0.05<p<0.1.). It was suggested that the multimedia teaching module was erfective for teachers in special education, though it should be improved interms of usability.The Authors also developed Infrared remote control module for PC,based on GIDEI : General Input Device Emulating Interface, which allows learners to use the Multimedia module easily.
