项目摘要

研究目的は、ホモトピー論に関わる空間構造の研究であった。96年6月、研究代表者・向井は分担者・可知と共同で、回転群のホモトピー群を17、18次と決定し、数学雑誌に投稿した。これは、現在審査中である。向井は、7月ブラジル・サンパウロ州サンカルロス大で開催されたブラジル・トポロジーシンポジュームに出席し、講演を行った。その内容をブラジル数学会雑誌に投稿し、現在審査を受けている。また、同州ウニカンプ大に滞在し、Rigas教授等と共同研究を行った。その結果として、Rigasの弟子Barrosとの共同研究の結果を信州大学理学部紀要に投稿した。ブラジル滞在中、向井の4年前の論文で、戸田の積に関する補題に誤りを発見した。帰国後、その誤りの訂正版を作成し、当論文が掲載されている雑誌Japanese Journal of Mathematicsに投稿した。ブラジルでの講演内容と併せてこの経緯を、12月、福岡大ホモトピー論シンポジュームで講演した。以下、主要な分担者の成果に触れる。可知は今年2月、城崎でのホモトピー論研究集会で、H-空間の中心拡大について講演した。阿部は第1 Chern形式を用いてコンパクト対称空間の体積の計算に成功し、また、8月、韓国で開催された変換群論シンポジュームに出席し、講演した。浅田はループ空間等の写像空間をソボレフ双対性を用いて、ホッジ作用素、微分形式を定義し、その性質を調べた。高木は、関数環上の作用素でKorovkin-Bohman-Wulbert型の近似定理が成り立つものを特徴づけ、ディスク環などへの具体例を示した。本田は拡散項を含む確率的偏微分方程式において離散的な取り扱いと連続解との間に差異が生ずることを実証した。
