本年度の調査は国内と国外に分けられる。国内調査では大阪府立図書館・京大図書館・東大図書館・国会図書館等を中心に行った。1部につき28項目の調査を実施しているため、多くの観点よりの資料が蓄積されつつある。その内の一は内賜本である。日本には15・16世紀の内賜本(王よりの臣下への賜書)が多く伝存する。筆者が直接調査した内賜本約200種について紹介した。この中には本国である韓国や朝鮮には既に失われているものが多く、内賜本に記された下賜年月がその書の出版時と密接に関係するため、刊行年を決定するのに極めて重要である。現存内賜本では、下述の大英図書館本を除けば、大谷大学蔵『大同宣府軍門練武図法』(1501年内賜)が本国をも含めて最も古い。国外ではフランス東洋語学校と大英図書館蔵書を調査した。前者は19世紀末ソウルに居たモリス・クーラン蔵書で、17〜19世紀刊本が主で、特に貴書というべきものがなかったが、術数書等に珍書があった。後者は幕末から明治初期に治躍した外交官アーネスト・サトウ等の蔵書で、日本貴重書の蒐集で有名である。それは朝鮮本についても同様である。朝鮮本は量的に多くはないが、質的には極めて高い。残本ではあるが、15世紀年刊庚午字本『古本真宝』があった。又内賜本としては、1442年刊『春秋経伝集解』(初鋳甲寅字本)があり、内賜記が附されている。これは現存最古の内賜本であるが、内賜記初行にあるべき紀年がない。これについては今後の考察が必要である。サトウ旧蔵書については来年度にも調査を実施して報告論文作成の予定である。
