1.There was a big differences between Japan and Australia among people in terms of the public attitude on the for or against the new way of conflict resolution as restorative justice.2.Although the new system was implemented formally in Australia since 1997, unfortunately there are few results to evaluate the results of the system.3.In Japan, we do not have any implementation of the new system of conflict resolution formally, but we have a few tentative experiments of the system (juvenile training center, probation office, NPO and police. We are to expect a lot on the trials in Japan.4.We did a comparative research between two countries, at the same time in Japan we did the research for the prisoners, probation officers, police officers, and bar association members.5.In addition to the comparative research between two countries, we did the research for the Japanese practitioners as bar officers, probation officers, police officers, social/mental officers. But the data analysis is now in process, therefore the result of the research is not found.

1.日本和澳大利亚民众对恢复性司法这一新的冲突解决方式的赞成或反对态度存在较大差异。2.澳大利亚虽然从1997年开始正式实施新的冲突解决制度，但遗憾的是，对新制度实施效果的评价结果并不多。但是，我们也有一些尝试性的实验（青少年训练所、缓刑办公室、NPO和警察）。4.对日本的审判进行了比较研究，同时对日本的服刑人员、缓刑监督官、警察和律师协会成员进行了调查。5.除了对日本的审判进行比较研究之外，还对日本的律师、缓刑监督官、警察和社会/心理监督官进行了调查。但由于数据分析还在进行中，因此还没有得到研究结果。
