The purpose of this study is to make clear the formation and development of the conception of 'esse' in the early medieval philosophy from Marius Victorinus to Eriugena.We found the beginning the medieval philosophy of 'esse' in Marii Victorini rhetoris romae ad Candidum Arrianum. We analyzed the process of the formation of 'esse' and considered the meanings of it.Porphyrius is supposed to have played the important role for the formation of the concept. As a result it was made cleared that a new study on the relation between Porphyrius and Victorinus is to be done in the future.Augustinus is important for the development of the concept of 'esse' in relation with the later Scholasticism. We analyzed his important writings about 'esse' and got a conclusion that his concept of 'esse' was established in the middle stage of his thought development.Eriugena is also an important person for the concept of 'esse' in the early medieval philosophy. Because he accepted the both the tradition of western Latin thought and that of eastern Greek thought, his concept of 'esse' is complicated. Eriugena's concept of 'esse' has deep meanings in relation with the concept of 'nihil' or 'superessentialis' which was introduced from the negative theology of Dionysius Areopagita.

本研究的目的是弄清从马里乌斯·维克托里努斯到埃留格纳的中世纪早期哲学中存在概念的形成和发展，我们发现，在马里乌斯·维克托里努斯的《罗马书》和《阿瑞杜姆》中，中世纪存在哲学开始了。我们分析了“存在”概念的形成过程，并对“存在”概念的意义进行了思考，认为卟啉在“存在”概念的形成过程中起了重要作用。奥古斯丁对“存在”概念的发展与后期经院哲学的关系有着重要的意义。通过对他关于“存在”的重要著作的分析，得出结论：他的“存在”概念是在其思想发展的中期确立的，埃留格纳也是中世纪早期哲学中“存在”概念的重要代表人物。由于他既接受了西方拉丁思想传统，又接受了东方希腊思想传统，所以他的存在概念是复杂的。埃留杰纳的“存在”概念与“虚无”或“超存在”概念有着深刻的关系，后者是从狄奥尼修斯·阿略巴吉塔的否定神学中引入的。
