The behavior of elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHD) films formed between a steel ball and glass disk under the fluctuating load is examined by means of the optical interferometry technique for performance improvement of machine element. The main results obtained are summarised as follows :The entrapment of the lubricating oil is caused by the squeeze motion.The oil in contact zone is moved at the average velocity of glass disk surface and steel ball surface.In the unloading stroke, the film thickness at the circumference of contact area is thin than in the case of the constant load condition of the same load.In the case of the flow velocity is fast, the fluctuation of the film thickness by loading and unloading is small.
利用光学干涉测量技术研究了钢球与玻璃盘之间形成的弹性流体动力润滑膜在波动载荷作用下的行为,以改善机械零件的性能。主要结果如下:润滑油的截留是由挤压运动引起的,接触区的油以玻璃盘表面和钢球表面的平均速度运动;在卸载行程中,接触区圆周处的油膜厚度比相同载荷的恒载荷情况下的油膜厚度薄;在流速较快的情况下,加载和卸载引起的油膜厚度波动较小。
