EXPLANATION OF EHL FILM BEHAVIOR UNDER FLUCTUATING LOAD

采用改进机械元件性能的光学干涉测量技术，研究了波动载荷作用下钢球与玻璃盘之间形成的弹流润滑膜的特性。得到的主要结果总结如下：润滑油的夹持是由挤压运动引起的。接触区油以玻璃盘表面和钢球表面的平均速度运动。在卸载行程中，接触区周长处的膜厚比相同载荷的恒载条件下薄。在流速较快的情况下，加载和卸载对膜厚的波动较小。

The behavior of elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHD) films formed between a steel ball and glass disk under the fluctuating load is examined by means of the optical interferometry technique for performance improvement of machine element. The main results obtained are summarised as follows :The entrapment of the lubricating oil is caused by the squeeze motion.The oil in contact zone is moved at the average velocity of glass disk surface and steel ball surface.In the unloading stroke, the film thickness at the circumference of contact area is thin than in the case of the constant load condition of the same load.In the case of the flow velocity is fast, the fluctuation of the film thickness by loading and unloading is small.
