昨年度作成したリストを補足して充実させ、それを基礎資料として研究を行った。まずモンゴル帝国時代の基本的文化である遊牧の基礎をなす五種の家畜-馬、牛、駱駝、羊、山羊-に関する用語に焦点を当て、各種類の総称、性別名称・年齢別名称の三つの階層構造として認識・把握し、分析を行った。また家畜全般の総称である「阿都温」adu'um(§153頭口)、「阿都兀」adu'u(§132頭口)について昨年度分析した内容を充実させた上で、各家畜の総称である「秣^舌〓」morin(§31馬)、「忽客^舌兒」huker(§21牛)、「貼〓延」teme'en(§244駱駝)、「^中豁〓」qonin(§19羊)、「亦馬阿_〓」ima'at(§151〓〓)等を一つ一つ比較分析し、各用語に対するモンゴル語系、チュルク語系、満州・トゥングース語系の対応及び分布の状況を調査・分析し、語源についても検討した。また分析から得られた知見を古代アルタイ諸族の家畜状況に関する歴史史料と対照し、分析の妥当性を高めるよう試みた。次に家畜の性別・年齢別の名称について馬7種、牛4種、駱駝2種、羊3種、山羊2種、合計18の基本的用語を取り上げ、各用語のモンゴル帝国時代における音韻の特徴と意味、各用語のモンゴル語系、チュルク語系、満州・トゥングース語系の古今における諸語の中での対応形式、その形と意味の変遷・派生の問題に関して徹底的に分析をした。このように各家畜用語のアルタイ語族における分布・起源・伝播の諸問題を検討し、また用語体系としてのモンゴル語における状況及びチュルク語系、満州・トゥングース語系との異同を分析することによって、モンゴル帝国時代の遊牧文化の状況・位置および中央アジアの他の諸族の文化との接触・交流に関して重要な知見を得ることが出来た。その結果A版で40頁程の分析成果が出来ている。今後も引き続き、一つ一つの言葉を取り上げて徹底的に分析し、研究課題を万全に実現させるつもりである。
