Immunoglobulin heavy chain variable region gene was analyzed in lymphomas developing from chonic inflammation of different etiology to evaluate whether lymphoma cells proliferate inresponse to specific antigenic stimuli.In thyroid lymphomas, usage of VH26 was observed. Because usage of VH26 is also reported, this finding indicated that thyroid lymphoma develops among the pool of activated lymphoid cells which appear in Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Thyroid lymphoma is a tage of germinal center cells and show somatic mutation suggesting these is in response to some antigenic stimuli.Pyothorax-associated lymphoma(PAL) is at the stage of post-germinal center cells, in which antigenic selection in proliferating lymphoma cells is unlikely.

对不同病因的慢性炎症所致的淋巴瘤进行免疫球蛋白重链可变区基因分析，以评估淋巴瘤细胞是否对特异性抗原刺激作出反应而增殖，在甲状腺淋巴瘤中观察到VH 26的使用。由于VH 26的使用也被报道，这一发现表明甲状腺淋巴瘤发生在桥本甲状腺炎中出现的活化淋巴细胞池中。甲状腺淋巴瘤（Thyroid lymphoma，TH）是一种生殖中心细胞，在抗原刺激下发生体细胞突变，脓胸相关淋巴瘤（Pyothorax-associated lymphoma，PAL）处于生殖后中心细胞阶段，增殖期淋巴瘤细胞不可能发生抗原选择。
