On problems in the Training of Volunteers for Braille Translation and Tape Recording for People with Visual Impairments

本研究旨在探讨视障人士盲文翻译与录音志愿者培训中存在的问题。对日本41名志愿者团体代表进行了听力调查。调查内容包括小组成员人数、活动方式、小组在培训新成员时遇到的问题等。在接受采访的小组中，有一半的小组需要申请人在参加小组之前接受培训。他们强调说，由于翻译和记录的材料是借给各区的，因此在某种程度上需要有某种标准化。举办培训课程的发起人列举了三个问题；以志愿者身份完成课程的申请者的稳定性较低，可能充满活力的年轻申请者数量较少，期待奖励的申请者数量也不少。

The purpose of this research was to clarify the problems in the training of volunteer for braille translation and tape recording for people with visual impairments. Hearing survey method to the 41 representatives of the volunteer groups in Japan was used. Contents of the survey included the number of members, the way of activities, the problems that the group had to train the new members and so on. The group that needed for an Applicant for membership to receive the training before attending the group was half of the groups interviewed. They stressed that, because the matters translated and recorded were lent to various districts, to some extend, a certain standardization was needed. The sponsors holding a training curriculum listed three problems; a low stability of applicants that finished the curriculum as a volunteer member to the group, a small number of younger applicants who might be full of vigor, and no small number of applicants who expected a reward.
