The main purpose of this research is to grasp the changes of southern Fukushima dialects, under the influence of Kanto dialects (they border each other) and standard Japanese. Using three kinds of surveys below in this area, we try to grasp the changes of dialects in general and meanwhile we examine the advantages and disadvantages of those research methods. First, we made linguistic maps of Fukushima, Tochigi and Ibaraki prefectures and interpreted histories of dialects in this area. Second, we made glotgrams (areas^× generations tables) along EAST Japan Railway's Banetsu East Line (between Koriyama City and Iwaki City) and along EAST Japan Railways Joban Line (between Sendai City and Toride City). Then we examined how the dialects change in this area especially in terms of age differences among old, middle-aged and young generations. Third, we surveyed about 100 people of various generations in Shirakawa City, and examined the changes of dialects in a specific area. In the future, we plan to compare this result with the data surveyed by The National Institute for Japanese Language 50 years ago. Reports on first and second have already been published. 本研究的主要目的是掌握福岛南部方言在关东方言(彼此交界)和标准日语影响下的变化。通过对这一地区的三种调查，我们试图从总体上把握方言的变化，同时也考察了这些研究方法的优缺点。首先，我们绘制了福岛县、户木县和茨城县的语言地图，并解释了该地区的方言历史。其次，我们在东日本铁路的Banetsu东线(郡山市和Iwaki市之间)和东日本铁路Joban线(仙台市和托里市之间)沿线制作了声门图(面积^×世代表)。然后，我们考察了该地区方言的变化，特别是在老、中、青三代人之间的年龄差异方面。第三，我们调查了白川市不同世代的约100人，并考察了特定地区的方言变化。未来，我们计划将这一结果与国家日语研究所50年前的调查数据进行比较。关于第一次和第二次的报告已经发表。关于Third的报道很快就会出来。
