On the Modern Significance of Thoreau's Natural History focusing on Wild Fruits

本计画的目的是研究亨利大卫梭罗的最后一部作品《野果》，由美国诺顿出版社（Norton Publisher）出版，迪恩教授编辑，于2000年文本化。研究的目的首先是厘清文本的内容和结构，其次是从整体上解读手稿的生态哲学和结构。为了理解梭罗所引用的学术资料，并把握文本本身的内容，本课题将《野果》一书翻译成日文。关于研究成果，我可以举出以下4点：1.出版东京的Shohakusha野生水果翻译2。在学术期刊上发表了三篇学术论文3。在国际会议上的两次发言4。三篇与项目主题相关的评论文章

This project's aim was to research the last Manuscript of Henry David Thoreau, Wild Fruits recently textualized in 2000 from Norton Publisher (USA) edited by Professor Dean. The targets of the research were first to clarify the contents and structure of the text, secondly to interpret an ecological philosophy and structure of the manuscript as a whole. For that purpose the project translated the text, Wild Fruits, into Japanese to understand the academic sources referred by Thoreau and grasp the contents of the text itself as well.As for the achievement of the research, I could quote the following 4 items:1. Publication of a Translated Wild Fruits from Shohakusha based in Tokyo2. Three Academic papers in the academic Journals3. Two presentations at International Conferences4. Three review essays relating the project theme
