项目摘要

日本語は、豊富な複合述語やそれに随伴する意味役割付与・格交替が特徴的である。その生起条件を明示することは、単に日本語の形式化としてでなく、自然言語の一般理論を考える上でも、また文処理の面でも重要と考えられる。こうした言語(処理)観から、本研究はHPSGといった制約文法を理論的基盤として、以下の問いに答えることで日本語句構造文法の骨子の構築を試みた。i.様々な形態、特徴を持つ授受構文はいかに分類・統括するべきか?ii.それらは具体的にどのような点で異なり、また類似するのか?iii.受動などの他構文との関係はいかなるものか?授受構文は受動文や使役文に比べ、先行研究、特にHPSGによる取り組みは多くない。その様々な補助動詞の特徴は、(i)主動詞を中核とした出来事における「恩恵的事態の授受」の表示とまとめられるものの、それらが内包する意味・機能は各々異なる、というものである。構文の振舞いを補助動詞の違いに帰することで得られた様々なタイプを、授受構文という統一的パラダイムのもとでどのように関連付けるかが、HPSGの語彙記述では問題となる。本研究では、言語情報は統語・意味・形態情報の多元的表示の制約によって特徴づけられていると考え、主辞という概念を中心に据えることで、語・句に基づく伝統的区分では成し得なかった授受構文の細分類・構文間の共通性を言語的対象が内包する統語・意味・形態情報の関係として素性構造表示において規定した。その結果、僅かな文法的制約と単純な素性だけで言語情報が記述出来ただけでなく、構文の分類を生じさせていた語彙情報及びそれを入力とした複合述語形成に関する見通しの良い説明を示すことが可能となった。

Japanese The conditions for the emergence of Japanese language are explicit, formal, and important in the general theory of natural language. This paper attempts to explore the basis of HPSG theory and the structure of Japanese sentence structure grammar. i.
