项目摘要

本年度は、昨年度に引き続き1930年代ブランショの政治論文の収集、分析を進める一方、後期ブランショのテクストに見い出される「隠された」バタイユ論の読解に着手した。ブランショの政治論文には、同時期対極の陣営にかいて論陣を張っていたバタイユの政治思想と共鳴する点が多い。両者は共に議会制政治の「無力」を指弾し、ヨーロッパの現状に見合った「現実主義」を標榜した上で、革命的・テロリズム的暴力を一種の「救済」として肯定しようと努めていたのである。極左(バタイユ)、極右(ブランショ)という基本的立場の違い、それに基づく個々の出来事に対する反応の違いはあるにせよ、彼等は同じ政治的現実を前にしてほぼ同一の視点を提示していた訳である。この点に関しては来年度以降さらに知見を深め、何らかの形で成果を発表したいと考えている。後期ブランショのテクストに関しては、断章形式のテクスト『災厄のエクリチュール』(1980)を中心に分析を進めた。このテクストには、バタイユの名が明確に言及される断章以外にも、バタイユ思想を暗に参照し、その堤示する問いに応答しようとしている断章がそこかしこに見い出される。既に指摘したことだが、1943年発表の「不安から言語へ」という作家論は、書くことの禁止と必要性に引き裂かれた「作家」バタイユに着想を得ている。同様に、『災厄のエクリチュール』中の「喪失と書くこと」に関する短い断章も一種のバタイユ論である。バタイユにとってもブランショにとっても、「作家」は「喪失」するだけでなく、「書くこと」を通して「贈与」しなくてはならないのだ。この論点に関しては、平成16年度から発表予定の一連のバタイユ論において提示していく予定である。本年度は以上の研究を進めたほか、学位論文(Georges Bataille : la perte, le don et l'ecriture)の出版準備、及び平成16年度発表予定の論文執筆(≪Georges Bataille : le cercle d'Acephale≫、未投稿)にも努めた。
