これまで、ノヴゴロドの対ハンザ交易の確立期にあたる十三世紀におけるノヴゴロドの通商政策の研究を行なってきた。今年度は、研究指導者から、ノヴゴロドの取引相手であるハンザ商人にも目を向ける必要があるとの指導を受け、彼らが滞在していたハンザ商館の状況の分析を行なうことにした。まず、商館研究の基本史料である「商館規約」の分析を行なった。規約には十三世紀から十五世紀までに五つの版があり、これらの分析を行なった。各版の条項が何を規定していたのかを整理して、各条項を内容別にいくつかに分類し、問題点を抽出した。それと同時に、規約の各版の構成が変化していることに着目して、時代の変化に応じて商館にいたハンザ商人がどのような問題を抱え、それにどう対処していったのかを検討した。さらに、商館の実状を明らかにするために、規約以外の史料の記述にも目を向けた。なお、中間報告をかねて、口頭報告を二度行なった。まず、10月2日にはハンザ商人の取引活動に関する報告を行なった。次に、10月30日には商館におけるハンザ商人の生活規範に関する報告を行なった。
