平成14年度は、平成13年度の研究をさらに発展させた以下の研究を実施した。1,不快情動刺激の記憶と想起の研究本研究においては、否定的な情動を適度に喚起する刺激が必要であったので、昨年度刺激作成を行った。本年度は、昨年度実施した実験と同様な手続きでデータを取得し、データ数を増やした。そこでは、映像刺激を呈示し、直後の情動と映像印象の評定を求め、1週間後、同様の刺激呈示に続いて評定を取得した。に加え、想起された刺激内容などを取得した。その結果、当該情動喚起刺激に関連した外的刺激による想起と自動的・内発的な想起の、2種の想起プロセスが昨年同様に示唆された。2,刺激希求性による、不快情動刺激に対する印象と想起手がかりの違いの検討外的刺激および内的な刺激に対する欲求の個人差を測定する尺度に刺激希求尺度がある。先の実験において、不快映像の想起が外的刺激によって引き起こされる場合と自動的な想起によるものとが示唆されたため、刺激希求性と1の実験を組み合わせて、抑制的会話態度と心的反芻および不快情動の関連をさらに検討した。被験者を外的刺激希求得点によって高群と低群に分け、刺激映像に対する評定を比較した結果、高群はおおむね映像視聴初回の動揺が小さく、視聴2回目に対する抵抗と視聴後のインパクトが小さかった。この結果は、外的な刺激を求める傾向が高く、したがって作業記憶内で感覚刺激入力処理をより多く行っていると推定される個人は、基本的に情動刺激に対する耐性が高いことを示唆する。同様に内的刺激希求得点高群と低群を比較した結果、高群は映像反窃のきっかけとして「日常的な思考」が多く、視聴2回目の「驚き」が少なかった。内的刺激希求者は取り込んだ刺激を反芻する頻度が高い結果、自発的に想起される主観的印象が強く、また、心的リハーサル回数が高まる結果、視聴反復時の新奇感が低下するものと解釈される。
