Anthropological Study of Marketing and Consumption of Indonesian Traditional Textiles

本研究旨在揭示在20世纪90年代初“亚洲手工艺品”在日本空前流行的背景下，印尼手工纺织品的营销和消费过程。我的研究主要集中在以下几个广泛的关注领域：“亚洲手工艺品”和“亚洲纺织品”刊登在日本各种杂志的专题文章中，包括妇女生活杂志和室内杂志。传统手工纺织品在印度尼西亚妇女杂志的版面上的代表性。日本是印尼和其他亚洲纺织品和手工艺品的销售系统和主要消费者。在人类学文献和消费文化研究的全球化背景下分析先前的手工业生产研究，我已经发表了几篇论文，并发表了以下关于上述主题的几篇文章。然而，考虑到本研究产生的大量信息，有必要进一步探讨这一主题。

This study aims to shed light on the process of marketing and consumption of Hand-made textiles from Indonesia against a background of an unprecedented popularity of "Asian handicrafts" in Japan since the beginning of the 1990s.My research has centered around the following broad areas of concern :1.Representation of "Asian handicrafts" and "Asian textiles" in feature articles of various Japanese magazines including women's lifestyle magazines and interior magazines2.Representation of traditional hand-made textiles in the pages of women's magazines within Indonesia3.System of marketing and major consumers of Indonesian and other Asian textiles and handicrafts in Japan4.Analysis of foregoing studies of handicraft production in a globalizing context within the literature of anthropology and studies of consumer cultureI have given several papers and published a few articles as listed below on the above theme. It is, however, desirable to pursue further on this topic, given a vast amount of information generated by this study.
