项目摘要

本年度の研究概要(1)Sir Joshua Reynoldsに関する美学研究の動向を調査し、Reynoldsの絵画論と芸術論についての現時点での定説を確認した。(2)William Blakeの芸術観についての先行研究を調査した。(3)ReynoldsとBlakeとの関わりを扱つた先行研究を、美学と英文学の両分野から抽出し、その変遷を確認した。(4)The DiscoursesにおいてReynoldsが話題とし、かつ、Blakeが書き込みにおいて言及している芸術家の名前と作品を一覧表の形に整理し、当該作品を現在収蔵している美術館を突き止め、必要な資料(当該作品の精密な複製、解説書、カタログ、写真原版等)の収集を行った。収集した資料をもとに、ReynoldsとBlakeが、どの芸術作品をどのような理由でどのように評価したかを確認した。(5)上記の作業における正確さを期すために、The Royal Academyが収蔵する資料を調査した。その結果、当時の画学生が利用できた絵画資料は、その多くが、精巧なモノクロの銅版画による複製であることを確認した。(6)以上の調査結果をもとに、「"It is not in Terms that Reynolds ＆ I disagree" : William BlakeとSir Joshua Reynolds」と題する学術論文を作成し、『神戸大学文学部紀要』第30号に発表した。本論文では、Reynoldsの芸術観の特色が、合理的世界観と形式的秩序を重視する啓蒙主義的な側面にあること、Reynoldsの芸術教育論をBlakeは、教育という名のもとに行なわれた個性の抑圧であり、個性の源である神の否定であるとみなしたこと、神を拠りどころとする天才論はそれゆえに近代合理主義と対立すること、を指摘した。

This year's research summary (1) investigates the trends in aesthetic research related to Sir Joshua Reynolds, and confirms the current position of Reynolds 'theory of painting and art of art. (2)William Blake's research on the art of painting was conducted in advance. (3)Reynolds and Blake are the first to study aesthetics and English. (4)The Discourses include topics such as Reynolds, Blake, book descriptions, artist's name, artist's work list, art museum's collection of necessary data (when the work is accurately copied, reviewed, edited, original photo, etc.). Collection of data, Reynolds and Blake, and technical works, and reasons for the review (5)The Royal Academy has been investigating the data collected during the review. The result is that the students at that time can use the data of the etching to confirm the accuracy of the etching. (6)The results of the above survey were published in the journal "It is not in Terms that Reynolds & I disagree" : William Blake and Sir Joshua Reynolds,"Journal of the Faculty of Literature, Kobe University, No. 30. This paper focuses on the characteristics of Reynolds 'art, rational world, formal order, the basis of enlightenment, Blake's art education theory, education, name, behavior, personality, the source of personality, the negation of God, the genius theory, the criticism of modern rationalism.
