Theory and Method in Historical Sociology

在本研究项目中，我们对历史社会学的各种理论和方法进行了考察，并探讨了如何在研究和教育领域中最好地应用所获得的知识。首先，数据的构建和研究材料的结构是历史社会学研究的关键问题。特别是，为了在历史学和社会学之间建立一座不明确的距离的桥梁，重新审视社会研究方法论中的技术发展被证明是必要的。第二，我们从这个项目的试点研究中发现了新的研究领域。其中之一是调查问卷图像数据库的重要性，并着手进行了建设;第三，对20世纪初以来的社会研究实践进行了列举;第三，肯定了编辑历史社会学原始资料的重要性，并讨论了教材的必要组成部分和基本结构。

In this research project, we examined the various theories and methods of historical sociology, and discussed how to best apply the resultant knowledge within the sphere of research and education.Firstly, it became clear that the construction of data and the structure of research materials is the key issue in the studies of historical sociology. Especially, to build a bridge over the unclearly established distance between history and sociology, the reexamination of the technological development in social research methodology proved to be essential.Secondly, we uncovered new research fields from the pilot studies of this project. One of them, is the importance of pictorial database of questionnaires, and we undertook to construct it. And we also set about the listing of the practices of social research from the commencement of the 1900' s.Thirdly, we confirmed the significance of editing the source book of historical sociology, and discussed the necessary components and a fundamental structure of the textbook.
