米国において、大陸間弾道ミサイルの開発の際に確立されその後他分野への導入が図られたシステム工学は、巨大技術計画の着実な実施を可能にした戦後の主要な技術上の革新であるが、それに関する社会史的・国家横断的な検討はこれまでほとんどなされていない。本研究は、米国及び目本におけるシステムエ学の導入・実施について、それが各国の社会規範や組織文化の特質を反映していたことを示すことを目指している。本年度は、わが国のコンピュータ開発の分野におけるシステムエ学について研究を進めた。まず、1960年代末から1970年代半ばにかけて電電公社がメーカー3社(日本電気・日立・富士通)と共同で開発したDIPS-1と呼ばれるコンピュータに関する歴史的研究を行った。本論文においては、とくにDIPS-1のソフトウェア開発に着目し、メーカーごとの開発手法の違いに留意しつつ、大規模ソフトウェア開発の過程を追った。本論文は、国内の学術雑誌『技術と文明』に12月に投稿し、現在査読中である。つづいて、電電公社が開発したコンピュータネットワークアーキテクチャであるDCNAの歴史的検討を行い、あわせて国際標準OSIへの日本の参画について調査した。この検討結果は、今後学術雑誌に投稿する予定である。これら論文執筆のための研究の過程では、文献調査のほか、数名の旧電電公社・メーカーの技術者に対するインタビューを行った。なお、昨年度執筆し学術雑誌に投稿した2件の鉄道技術史に関する論文は、本年度中に査読が終了し掲載に至った。また、博士論文における研究に加え一昨年度・昨年度の研究を盛り込んだ著書を東京大学出版会より出版した。また、米国における宇宙開発の初期に興隆した宇宙生物学の歴史に関する論文を執筆した。本論文においては特に、冷戦の環境の中で、生物学的資源としての月惑星を地球発の探査機等によって生物学的に汚染することのないようにすべきとする科学者の理念と、探査機の熱処理等による無菌化によって搭載電子機器等の信頼性が低下することを恐れる技術上の考慮との間の緊張関係について検討した。本論文は、学内の雑誌『哲学・科学史論叢』に7月に投稿し、1月に掲載された。また、文部省宇宙科学研究所(ISAS)の技術開発のマクロな傾向として、その設立当初からハードウェアの大型化の一途をたどってきたが最近になって小型化の傾向がみられることに着目し、若干の研究を行い、その内容を盛り込んで科学技術社会論学会において口頭発表を行った。これについては、今後さらに研究を発展させていくことを考えている。

In the development of China and intercontinental transportation, it is necessary to establish the introduction of other fields of technology, engineering and implementation of huge technical projects, and to discuss the major technological innovations related to social history. This study is aimed at the introduction and implementation of social norms and organizational culture in different countries. This year, the Chinese government has made great progress in the development of science and technology. From the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, the Japanese Electric Power Corporation (JEDCO), Hitachi and Fujitsu jointly developed DIPS-1 and conducted research on the history of communication. This paper focuses on the development of DIPS-1 software, and the development of large-scale software. This paper was submitted in December to the domestic academic journal "Technology and Civilization." In addition, the DCNA history review was carried out in the context of the development of the DCNA and the Japanese reference to the international standard OSI. The results of this research are expected to be published in the future. The process of writing this paper, literature research, and several engineers from the old electric power company are involved in the research. Two papers on railway technology history were written last year and published in the middle of this year Doctoral thesis published at Tokyo University Press This paper is about the history of cosmology in the early days of the development of the universe. This paper discusses the tension between the special environment, the cold environment, the biological resources, the moon, the earth exploration machine, the biological pollution, the scientific concept, the heat treatment of the exploration machine, the sterilization, the reliability reduction, the fear, the technical consideration, etc. This paper was submitted in July and published in January in the journal "Philosophy and History of Science." The Institute of Space Science (ISAS) of the Ministry of Education and Science (MEXT) has been developing technology in a large scale since its establishment. Recently, the Institute has been developing technology in a small scale. This is the first time that we've had a chance to study in the future.
