1.マ行音・バ行音の交替について仮名遣書において、マ・バ行音の交替現象に関わる仮名遣の規定が、次第に掲出語を増やしていく傾向にあることを音韻史の中で捉えるために、世阿弥自筆能本をとりあげその用字法を調査した。調査の結果、アハワ行の表記、マ・バ行の表記は片仮名文献とはいえ極めて表音的にすなわち謡われるままに書かれたと思しく、特にマ・バ行の表記は他の文献と比較すると、バ行音からマ行音へと変化した新しい語形を表記する傾向にあることを明らかにした。→研究発表(H18の研究成果)2.『類字仮名遣』について京都大学蔵本『類字仮名遣』の掲出語本文をデータベース化し、掲出語の検索が容易に出来るようにした。さらに、『仮名文字遣』『新撰仮名文字遣』『初心仮名遣』等の仮名遣書との掲出語の比較を行い、掲出語が増補されていく過程を明らかにした。3,藤原定家の仮名遣について定家の仮名遣を表記史の中に位置付けるために、現状の課題について私見を述べた。また、定家書写本とされる『股富門院大輔百首題』に仮名遣の萌芽と解釈できる用字法が見られることを明らかにした。→口頭発表(H18・9第十回表記研究会シンポジウム)4.定家以前の仮名遣について定家の仮名遣を表記史の中に位置付けるために、平安末期から鎌倉初期にかけて書写された歌集・歌合等の表記を調査し、そこにみられる仮名遣が定家直前期に「多様化」し、定家の仮名遣へと繋がることを明らかにした。→口頭発表(H19・5日本語学会)
