APPLICATION OF NOTATION SYSTEM FOR SAMPLING DANCE IDIOMS

本研究的目的是透过记谱系统，找出日本古老舞蹈风格中的舞蹈习语与词汇。具体来说，本次研究的对象是KASUGATAISYA、KOTOHIRAANJA、DEWASAZANWNJA、SUMIYOSHITAISYA四个神社的少女舞（MIKO-MAI）。这些舞蹈没有名称，指的是动作形式和系列，学术上称之为舞蹈习语或动作词汇。在本研究中，通过使用Your Move Notation系统（LABANOTATION的应用之一）标记的乐谱，从舞蹈流程中提取动作单元。然后通过编辑软件将DVD和PC中的图像作为一种观察工具，有效地识别出运动单元和特征运动。然后观察点是重复和姿势。通过对动作系列中重复和姿势的研究，出现了各种对称的泡沫。据说对称的设计是源于丝绸之路的冬青符号。因此可以说，我们通过NIKO-MAI看到或体验到冬青的象征。此外，这项研究还可以显示我们无法通过单词等口头符号识别的习语和/或词汇。可以说，记谱系统是一个非常有用的舞蹈研究工具。此外，通过这项研究，历史资料可以得到整理。这些对于从语义上理解日本文化中的仪式性动作和舞蹈具有重要意义。从非物质遗产的角度来看，这些人类活动必须得到保护。

The purpose of this study is to find out dance idioms and vocabularies in Japanese old dance style through the notation system. In more details, this research objects are maiden dance (MIKO-MAI) in four shrines, KASUGATAISYA, KOTOHIRAANJA, DEWASAZANWNJA, SUMIYOSHITAISYA. These dances don't have names refer to movement forms and series which are called dance idioms or movement vocabularies academically. In this study, movements unit have been extracted from the flow of dance through the score notated by using the Your Move Notation system which is one of an application of LABANOTATION. Then the images in DVD and PC through editorial soft have used effectively as an observational tool to identify the unit of movements and the characteristic movement. Then observational points are repetition and pose.Through the investigation on repetition and pose in movement series the various symmetrical foams appeared. It is said that symmetrical design are holly symbol derived from 'Silk Road. Therefore it could be said we see or experience holly symbols through NIKO-MAI. Moreover this research could show the idioms and/or vocabularies which we had not been able to identify by verbal symbols such as words. It could be said Notation System is very useful researching tool for dance.In addition through this study historical materials could have been collar-tad. These are important to think the ceremonial movement and dance in Japanese culture semantically. These human movements have to be safeguarded from the point of view of Intangible Heritage.
