本研究では、アジアにおける汚職の現状・構造形態及び、汚職と経済発展の関連性を検証する。本年度の研究計画に治った研究実績は以下の通りである:1.現地調査によるデータ収集・選定モデルの妥当性の検証:昨年度より継続し、汚職度が東アジアで最も高いインドネシアと近年特に汚職が問題視されている中国を、汚職の構造的要因分析の研究対象国として調査研究を行った。インドネシアでは昨年度の初期調査に続き、3月に再度現地調査を行いデータを収集した。また中国の汚職に関しては、政府発行の関連誌・その他情報誌から汚職関連データを拾い上げた。2.データの変数化: International Country Risk Guide, Transparency International, World Development Indicator(World Bank);Government Fjnance Statistics(IMF)のデータを実証分析に使用できるように調整。特にアジア15カ国・1990-2005年までのデータに絞った。3.汚職樹造のモデル分析:汚職の程度及び、要因の相関関係を横断面。パネル分析を実施。異なる幾つかの実証モデルを適用し、汚職との関連性を分析した。汚職に影響を与える要因として、特に軍事予算、政治体制、政治的安定性、インフレーション等が認められた。4.汚職と成長に関するモデル分析:汚職構造と経済成長の相関関係を、主要なモデルを用いて分析した。アジアの対象国の場合、現在の定説となっている汚職と経済成長の負の関係が見受けられず、正の関係が有意で見受けられた。この点に関して、今後さらなる分析を行う予定である。5.一般化モデルの可能性の模索:理論研究及び実証検証結果を元に、汚職構造モデルの妥当性を比較検証する予定であったが、これは今後の課題として残った。6.政策提言:今後の更なる分析を実施した上で行う。

This study examines the status quo, structural morphology, and relationship between pollution and development. The results of this year's research plan are as follows:1.
