The purpose of this study is to draw up guide books for providing general information to lead the independent lives with adolescents and young adults who have been suffered from chronic diseases:diabetes mellitus, congenital heart disease and childhood cancer. 2005 version of guide book for offering information required for entering a school of higher grade, employment and marriage was revised. The revised version can be seen on Web site (URL http://homepage1.nifty. com/k_tanigawa/). According to users' reactions, the contents of this book were considered to be accepted.For young adult patients, the draft of guide book which provide general information for employment and marriage was drew up. In future, the contents should be revised to be more suitable for patients' needs.

本研究的目的是为患有慢性病（糖尿病、先天性心脏病和儿童癌症）的青少年和年轻人制定指导手册，为他们提供独立生活的一般信息。修订了2005年版的《升学、就业和婚姻指南》。修订版可以在网站上看到（URL http://homepage1.nifty）。com/k_tanigawa/）。根据使用者的反应，本书的内容被认为是可以接受的，对于年轻的成年患者，制定了提供就业和婚姻一般信息的指南书草案。日后，有关的内容应作出修订，以更切合病人的需要。
